CONFINED SPACE COURSE
Description:
Employers must ensure the safety of all their workers and comply with all federal and state requirements that pertain to confined spaces. (Going into Tanks, Sewers, Crude oil storage tanks, a Trench…..)
Course Topics:
- Emergency Action Plan/Rescue/EMS
- Confined Space Authorized Entrant, Attendant, and Supervisor Rescue
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Respiratory Protection Program CFR 1910.134
Practical Application by Students using Tripod and winch
Reference: OSHA 29 CFR 1910. 132; 134; 146 ANSI Z117
Target Audience: This program is a must for any and all workers that may be involved in confined space entry. Students receive a certificate of completion.
Instructor to Student Ratio: 1:10 Length: 4-8 Hours (Depends if there is rescue training)
Pre Requisite: Supervisors who rescue should be certified on CPR First Aid; it is needed in a rescue mission if the Entrant is not breathing. A medical evaluation is required and Fit Test employees who will put on an SCBA Respirator to rescue or work in confined Space
